É«¿Ø´«Ã½ Comments on the proposed rule on Special Registrations for Telemedicine and Limited State Telemedicine Registrations, published in the Federal Register on January 17, 2025.
Overview
É«¿Ø´«Ã½ supports increasing access to medications prescribed via virtual interactions, with appropriate guardrails. Affordable, accessible medications help promote and maintain health and well-being. Experience has demonstrated that telemedicine is an important part of the health care delivery continuum. Telemedicine’s value as a modality is supported by recent data showing it is a cost-effective, convenient means of delivering high quality care. Telemedicine can expand access to care, especially for rural populations where there is limited access to in-person care, and reduces barriers such as transportation, childcare, and time needed off from work.
