鈥淲e don't always get to choose the moments. Sometimes a moment chooses us. What we saw through the pandemic was health care being powered on social unrest, disparities, and all the challenges that we were having. I think is an honor and a privilege to be here. I will leave you with this: It is your moment. It's our moment to say, 鈥榳e can do this differently.'鈥�

鈥淭he biggest problem we have with burnout and Medicaid is that there's nobody in the wings to take [people鈥檚] place鈥� I do think that our role as a health plan is to be an advocate for providers and to be an advocate for our members and add value to their participation with the health plan.鈥�

鈥淗ealth insurance providers are clear: Every American deserves affordable coverage and high-quality care. We are fully committed to delivering on this promise with more choices, better quality, and lower costs.鈥�

鈥淚f the U.S. health care system were a country, it'd be [around] the fourth largest economy in the world. No, I mean that, that there is power in that. There's power in this room. And as such as that is, we have to be willing to step out a little bit.鈥�

鈥淗ow you define a problem influences how you solve the problem. I think we've largely defined homelessness as a housing supply issue. And I think, you know, it is in part the housing supply issue, but it's also very strongly a health care issue.鈥�

鈥淥ur hearts are destined to be broken. It鈥檚 really about what we do with the pieces.鈥�

鈥淭he statistic that always kind of blows my mind is that half of Americans shop at a Walmart every single week, which means that we are seeing more people in our stores than virtually any location. That gives us and me a platform to be able to affect health care and access in a way that I never really thought would be possible.鈥�

鈥淲hen you use health tech tools 鈥� of which there are a plethora 鈥� the channels are not the problem. It鈥檚 how you use a specific channel at the right time, right? How many of you prefer a text message or a voicemail, phone call, or postcard? Right? How many of your parents prefer a text message? How many of your children would even know what to do with a voicemail 鈥� right?鈥�

鈥淎ccess to the food you need to stay healthy is as important for your health as any medication.鈥�

鈥淚'll give you this statistic: 42% of a nurse鈥檚 time, a nurse working in hospitals, is actually spent nursing the computer instead of nursing the patient. Doctors spend two hours on paperwork for every one hour they spend looking into a patient's eyes.鈥�
